As you have probably heard before the Hungarian is a difficult
language - at least that's what generally foreigners say.
Hungarian is a Finno-Ugric language, so it belongs to
the same language family as Finnish. Despite that fact
Finnish and Hungarian can't understand each other. Naturally
there are quite a lot of words of foreign origin, which
were adapted from Turkish, Latin, German, Slavic or English.
Words like film, video, disco, szendvics (sandwich), lízing
(leasing), televízió (television) are of
English origin.
If you decide to get acquainted more closely with that
language, do not hesitate, find a good language school
or private teacher, and begin your adventure. |
